Test Set #125
The rapid accumulation of electronic waste presents a massive crisis demanding immediate attention from policymakers and civic bodies. India stands as one of the largest global generators of electronic waste but manages only a minute fraction through safe recycling channels. Millions of tons of obsolete consumer electronics and household appliances are discarded annually. This unchecked disposal causes severe contamination of soil and vital groundwater reserves. Precious metals like gold and silver can be recovered from this junk if the extraction is performed scientifically. However the majority of current sorting operations are handled by informal workers operating in local markets. These individuals use highly hazardous extraction methods which expose their health to severe medical dangers. To address this issue the government formulated strict regulations compelling original manufacturers to collect a fixed portion of their sold goods. This shift toward a circular economy framework aims to keep all scarce resources in continuous circulation for as long as possible. Such an approach helps extract maximum utility from outdated products and reduces our dependence on fresh mining. While these new rules are a great step many regions still lack the proper infrastructure to recycle or safely process this waste. They also fail to track the daily flow of old junk across state borders creating a strong need to set up formal work spaces and provide proper safety training to the local workers. A solid move to this green economy will cut down major harm to nature and help create thousands of fresh jobs. By tracking the waste flow and teaching good sorting habits the nation can build a safe and bright green future for everyone.
